Install Nvidia CUDA-9.0 on Ubuntu 16.04 for Deep Learning. Friday, February 16, 2018 The latest version of CUDA is 9.1. However some deep learning frameworks are not yet ready for CUDA 9.1. The installation script of CUDA-9.1 is very similar to this one. OS: Ubuntu 16.04 x86_64.
[D] Has anyone gotten Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to work with CUDA 9.0, CUDNN 7.0.5.11 and Tensorflow 1.7 ?
I had it running with Ubuntu 16.0.4.3 LTS and I upgraded due to stupidity in my part. I read on some blog that it worked with the new CUDA 9.1 and CUDNN 7.1 and Tensor has to be built from source.
I tried going back to the old CUDA 9.0, CUDNN 7.0.5.11 and Tensorflow 1.7 but now it does not work with Ubuntu 18 , so back to square one.
edit: Can be done. Will be compiling thanks to everyone's clues here. edit: Thanks Everyone! Got it going , thought it was permanently broken. Hate to reinstall everything and have broken dependencies . I was in a hurry to update thinking it would be an easy task and I guess it was.
